ABOUT ME

HERE is where we all find ourselves, whether by choice, or by chance… do we dare call it “fate”??

THERE is the goal we dream of and try to strive towards in our heart and soul with every step we take.

EVERYWHERE In-Between is not the final goal, but a space that we all often find ourselves in, and need to fully explore, at different times in our life.

Here is my story of what those 3 Journey points mean to me:

After 20 years in the Navy, like many others I struggled to find my next career with a sense of mission.   I have always had a desire for graphic designing, but there are so many aspects of it that I wasn’t sure where or how to find my niche. Even after getting my degree, I struggled to find my direction, so I automatically fell back into the familiar and got jobs doing the work that I knew best.

I bounced around several different places, feeling each time like something critical for me was missing. It wasn’t until COVID happened and I found myself back at home and forced to reassess life (along with everyone else) that things finally started to fall into place in my thinking and I reached the conclusion that if I couldn't find the right fit for me out there, I simply needed to create and design my own best fit for me!

3Journeys and its designs are the result of these experiences. Each point in my journey has been (and continues to be) very real to me, sometimes dark and sometimes bright, but always bold. It has opened me up to more understanding, joy and love, and has given me a purpose like never before to make sure that whatever I do has meaning.

I have learned in my journeying so far that with true connection there is happiness and growth, but also some sadness, and even pain. I have lived the unavoidable fact that often “the negative” has to come before “the positive” for it to be real, lasting, and valued!

My hope is that as a result of my 3 Journeys, you'll find among my designs something that will put a smile on your face, trigger a significant memory of the past, stimulate a significant step forward toward your goals, and/or make you ask questions and engage in dialogue with others that you happen to share life and space with.
